The Meriden Kids Walk Safe program is a community based, child pedestrian educational, injury prevention, safety project designed to make walking and bicycling to school healthy, safe and routine.
The educational outreach strategies are geared toward Meriden children Kindergarten - Middle school.
Meriden Kids Walk Safe- Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program is based on the federal program design.
Reminder: Warm weather provides an opportunity to promote physical activity by encouraging students to walk and bike to school
*Parents, youth, school staff, community leaders and others are key participants in educating children about bicycle helmet usage ,safe routes and safe pedestrian habits year-round!
